| Model | Maximum Output Force | Available Stroke |
| SMT-SP-2 | 2 kN | 100/200 mm |
| SMT-SP-5 | 5 kN | 100/200 mm |
| SMT-SP-10 | 10 kN | 100/200/300 mm |
Selection tips: The output and stroke in the table are for preliminary screening. The specific model needs to be confirmed based on conditions such as movement speed, number of runs per minute, installation direction, and load mode.
Promote tooling or parts in assembly equipment to complete the set stroke. When selecting, the contact location, workload, and action time required by the production line must be clearly defined.
As a linear drive component in the press fitting station, it is used in conjunction with the fixture and equipment control system. If the project requires force testing, conformity determination, or production data traceability, sensor, control, and data recording requirements should be clarified at the same time.
Used for special equipment with clear linear motion requirements. Providing equipment layout drawings, installation dimensions and interface requirements in advance will help to check the electric cylinder, installation structure and control configuration at the same time.
First confirm how much push or pull force is required when the tooling acts on the part, and explain when the maximum load occurs during the action. If a cycle contains different stages such as push, hold, return, etc., they should also be described separately.
The stroke is not only the final distance the part moves, but also the approach distance, actual working section, position of both ends and installation allowance.
Approach speed, working speed and return speed may be different. Please try to provide them separately and indicate the number of cycles per minute in order to evaluate the actual operating conditions of the electric cylinder.
Provide equipment drawings or installation sketches, indicating the installation direction, available space and the connection method of the electric cylinder and tooling. If there is a risk of eccentric loading, lateral force or installation misalignment, it should be raised during the selection stage.
Please indicate whether you need the electric cylinder body or a configuration including motor, driver and related control components. Only by clarifying the scope of delivery can you accurately compare different quotes.
If the project already has a frame, fixture and control system, you only need to select linear drive components, and you can start by matching the working conditions of the servo electric cylinder.
If the project also requires a complete set of press-fitting stations and requires force-displacement monitoring, process judgment, data recording and production line docking, the frame, sensors, tooling and control systems need to be evaluated together. Schmidt also provides corresponding servo press system solutions.
It is recommended to state in the inquiry whether you want to purchase electric cylinder components or build a complete press-fitting station. This helps engineers scope solutions faster.
SP direct connection type adopts a structure in which the motor and electric cylinder are arranged along the same axis. For automation equipment with clear installation space and requiring linear reciprocating motion, it can be evaluated and used based on actual working conditions.
The performance of the electric cylinder in the equipment does not only depend on the parameters of the product itself. Tooling weight, installation coaxiality, lateral force and continuous operating frequency will all affect the selection and mechanical design. Therefore, before determining the model, the electric cylinder should be put into complete equipment operation for evaluation.
It is recommended to provide the following information when enquiring:
· Push or pull force required at the working position;
· Effective stroke and installation space;
· Speed of approach, work and return phases;
· Number of operations per minute and daily operation time;
· Horizontal or vertical installation method;
· The weight of the tooling and possible lateral forces;
· Configuration requirements for motors, drives and control systems.
